Don’t want to read your local news online? No Worries! The OPIRG Resource Centre in MUSC 229 offers a variety of printed copies of Hamilton newspapers including:

  • North End Breezes

Urbanicity

Urbanicity is a local magazine that publishes monthly and is available at the following locations throughout the Hamilton & Burlington area including the McMaster Library. It covers a wide variety of topics including personal experiences and stories from local residents in Hamilton. Urbanicity also brings up issues in the Hamilton community such as human right, mental health, women’s rights, etc.Current Issue explored topics including:

  • “Can We Afford not to Have Traffic?”
  • “Trans Rights are Human Rights – and a Women’s Issue”
  • “Cycling Master Plan Needs More Teeth”

Unpack Magazine

Unpack Magazine is published by the Immigrants Working Centre in Hamilton. This magazine is dedicated to sharing the stories and experiences of local immigrants and refugees in Hamilton. Unpack Magazine hopes that by “unpacking” the stories and justice issues that immigrants face, we can have a better idea of what is needed to make Hamilton a better and more welcoming city.Current featured topics including:
