Campus Waste Audit Report Released

In collaboration with Waste Reduction Group Inc., McMaster University conducted a campus waste audit in November 2017. The results indicate that Mac has a waste diversion rate of about 50%, and that much of the waste disposed of in the garbage stream is recyclable or is composed of organic materials, like paper towel and food waste. The audit also led to several recommendations on how to improve waste management on campus! Check out the final report for a snapshot of what is being thrown out on campus and where it's going.
