Volunteer with Turtles of Cootes

Did you know that approximately 80-100 turtles get crushed by cars on Cootes drive annually!

Turtles of Cootes is a working group with OPIRG McMaster.  Our group's main focus to improve the conservation efforts for the local species of endangered turtles around the areas of Cootes Paradise. These turtles are a very important part of our surrounding ecosystem and their numbers are decreasing at an alarming rate because of human and invasive species activities.

In collaboration with the Bay Area Restoration Council (BARC) we have 4 different volunteer opportunities available! Please submit a volunteer form by July 10th. For any questions, please contact toc@opirgmcmaster.org
