Workshop: Hand-Printed Poster Design

Description: Design and print a poster or front and back covers for your zine . In this workshop, we will use different relief printing techniques to work with images and text, monochrome and colour. You may choose to add type and collage, print multiples, or create a design for photocopying.

Facilitator: Ingrid Mayrhofer, BFA, MA, York University, is a Hamilton-based visual artist, curator and arts educator. In addition to her double major in printmaking and photography, Ingrid works with installation and video. Her recent exhibitions include a two channel video at the Art Gallery of Hamilton, and litho transfers on porcelain at the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery in Waterloo. Ingrid is an active member of Red Tree Artists’ Collective, working in community art in East Hamilton.
