To celebrate one hundred fifty (150) years of Canada, 300 Years of Community invites Hamiltonians to experience a historical-and-future-mix trip by taking a walk on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017. It is also an initiative of 100 in 1 Day festival of citizen engagement that it provides local people with the opportunity to learn more about Barton history and discover what’s new in Barton. One highlight of this event is the new two murals that display the ‘nature’ and ‘future,’ which set the start and end points of the Barton walk. Walking from the past to the new Barton, people can see the changes from old pictures and experience the new from seeing the murals and talking to current businesses.
